The idea of leaving the woodpile higher than you found it is a mantra I picked up working at my current company, Red Ventures. Essentially it means that when joining something you find ways to have an impact. I recently heard Mick Ebeling, founder of Not Impossible labs, say that if we can impact ONE person’s life in this world we have already left it better than we found it. With that in mind, I want to have this post be a dynamic collection of organizations, or any other sort of media that is making an impact on people. Regardless if it is at a small or large scale.

I will update this post with shout-outs to organizations, podcasts, YouTube videos, personal sites, Netflix shows, and any other form of media that I come across that I think are leaving Earth’s woodpile higher than they found it. If you come across something that you believe deserves a shout-out then you can shoot me a message and I’ll check it out. Bullet points below will link you to the respective site or media.

I have had DACA since early 2013. I am currently a Software Engineer at Red Ventures. I went to college at UNC Charlotte and graduated in 2017 with a BA in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Engineering. I went to high school in a small town out in eastern North Carolina. My parents brought me to the United States in 1999 when I was 3 years old. I grew up in NC and aspired to make something worthwhile out of my parent’s hard work and sacrifice.
