Overview

My Undocu Life was started as a platform for undocumented individuals to claim back their narrative and come out of the shadows under our own terms. We strive to create compelling content and showcase individuals throughout the nation that are leaving the woodpile higher than they found it.

Mission Statement

To share the raw narratives of undocumented individuals in the US with the goal to bring awareness about us, our triumphs, our challenges, and our perseverance.

Hello!

I’m Peruvian by birth, brought by my courageous Madrecita at the age of 4. I’ve been living in New York for the past 28 going on 29 years this September. I’m grateful to my parents who have instilled in me the value to keep pushing forward to achieve my dreams and pursue higher education. I attended my local dream school CUNY Hunter College. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Religion.

With the help of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) which I received in 2013, I was able to get a better paying job and pay my way through a Masters in Professional Studies in Urban Ministry from Nyack College – Alliance Theological Seminary.

Hi!

I am originally from Venezuela. I have lived in the US since I was 8 years old. I have been a DACA recipient since 2012. I grew up on Hilton Head Island, a small touristy island on the coast of South Carolina. I acquired my Communication degree from Queens University at Charlotte.

My family moved to the US back in 2001 looking for a better life for me. When we moved here, it was just my parents and I. Basically, we had no other family near. My parents worked really hard and they still do. All I have ever wanted is to make sure that their sacrifice and effort to move us here is worth it. Hola!

I am currently a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at Levvel. I went to college at UNC Charlotte and graduated in 2017 with a BA in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Engineering. I grew up in a small town out in eastern North Carolina and have had DACA since early 2013.

My parents brought me to the United States in 1999 when I was 4 years old. I grew up in NC and aspired to make something worthwhile out of my parent’s hard work and sacrifice.
